Book excerpt: "Walking on Glass" takes place in New York City, 2005. This story is about Everyday life to one man's life (Nick D'Colli) to the point of suicide, due to a stranglehold of events that leads to his decision. There are six other characters that are all walking on glass' in some way in their life, but all characters focus around Nick D'Colli. Nick is the Director Special Agent of Advance Security Detail for the U.S. Government. He's a mans-man, classy, yet shy keeps to himself until one day when he starts to have feelings for a Nun, Sister Christina, his life changes. Through a stranglehold of events puts him in the heart of a murder. Everything goes against him which leads him to consider suicide, his only way out of hells cell. The other characters are: Pastor Matthew Mattachui: Helps & Heals People, yet he couldn't help the closest person to his heart, Nick. He, A Priest becomes lost in his work. Sister Christina: A Nun who falls in love with Nick D'Colli. She struggles with her love for God, her job, and her sexual feelings for a man. Momma Eileen Ilmen: A 90 year old lady who has all the wealth in the world, yet it can't buy her health back as she deals with (MS) Multiple Sclerosis. She recalls the tender years of life. Pete Ilmen the IV: A well-known music producer who seeks to find real love, yet seems impossible due to his money and well-known name in the City. Edward De'Belle: Lived the Park Avenue lifestyle until THE AIDS VIRUS took over his life, now he lives the skid row life. His dreams are all shattered by the madder. Dee @K@ Budee: Was born on the streets of New York, abandoned & left for dead in a hospital bed. The streets are his home. His education is "The school of hard knocks" and teaching himself in a library. He is a rapper and rap talks almost every time he speaks.
